I love Pine Ave as its unchained, and I was excited to have a pizza place on the street open up. We are here every summer, and last year was the first year I tried it. It was a pretty decent pizza!! Living in Chicago, and from the east coast, I would say I have reasonably high standards for pizza. I think for Florida, it was pretty good, and I'm not going to argue about the slightly higher price. Everything on Anna Maria island is a little high when it comes to food. (Even the Publix is a bit gouging). Its the price you pay for being here, and its not a tourist tax. Its just expensive to operate here. So why 3 stars. Capacity. I think my house has a bigger oven. Simply put, they can't make pizza in any reasonable time frame, given the demand- and they have demand. I gave up this year, when I went in twice, and they said it would be a 1.5 - 2 hour wait if I ordered for pickup. So, although I am willing to pay a premium for pizza here, it is not good enough to say I will waste two hours of beach time for a slightly above average pizza. I just ordered from Dominos, and low and behold, I had an average pizza, at a good price in 12 minutes. I love supporting local, but come on. A pizza place, needs an oven that is bigger than an over sized apartment range.

Fantastic garlic rolls!! Good pizza, at first too hot, but cools down quickly enough to easy. Cut into bite sized pieces. Very yummy! Probably the most charming thing is that if you order it for delivery, the pizza arrives via bike. Ah, beach life!

Ordered the wings delivered and a salad. Salad was quite underwhelming, and the medium wings were very mild, rather soggy, and burnt. :/ and didn't come with a dipping sauce. Wouldn't recommend.

We where excited to have a non chain store pizza restaurant on the island. The bad news is that the local Dominoes pizza is far better than J Burns. ordered a large cheese pizza.....came out to 14 dollars. pizza was cut into little squares that had a consistency of cardboard with some sauce and somewhere buried in the mess was some really nasty tasting dried out cheese that did not resemble any good mozarella I have ever had. they proclaim to make other items there as well which we did not and will not try. however, if you care to give one of their other samplings a try go for it, but if you want pizza I would recommend the freezer aisle of any grocery store instead of this..

Great thin crust pizza. Yes they slice the entire pizza in squares. Not a bad thing I've had this before. It doesn't change the taste of the pizza. Very friendly staff nice accommodations. Definitely will be back here.

Best Pizza on the island. Fresh tasting ingredients friendly fast service. The pizza is thin crust and the fresh salads are amazing.

My husband is a pizza freak and when we went to J Burns for a visit to Anna Maria Island, he was pleasantly amazed at how good it is. The pizza has a nice thinner crunchy crust with delicious toppings. The service was terrific and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will go back to J Burns on our next visit.
